This diploma thesis deals with kitsch as a manipulative tool parasitizing in the Christian environment, at the heart of which are especially emotionally colored and often sentimental themes that directly attack the feelings of the viewer. The main content is also the definition of similarities and differences between sacred and spiritual art, holy pictures and kitsch. The aim of the thesis is to bring the concept of "Christian kitsch", to point out its power and to think about the question of whether Christianity would even be able to exist without kitsch.

Based on the theoretical studies of the aestheticians dealing with the issue of kitsch, this bachelor thesis entitled "Musical kitsch" focuses on the general characteristics of kitsch, the explanation of the key concepts related to its issues, and the subsequent application of the above-mentioned to music. However, not to music in general, but to classical music, which is generally considered high art, and in which the elements of kitsch are not expected. Kitsch takes its place in many artistic fields. of rigorous work Mgr. Luboš Koláček, Ph. D. The work is a specific approximation of the European author to the thought of the West with the East, based on the thinkers he selected on both sides. It presents a reflection of ontological, epistemological, ethical and psychological, sociological and other questions and answers to the problem, indicated by the name itself. It is a kaleidoscopic thinking that, by multiplying the contents in the reflections of the others and the others in the third thinkers, intertwines and unfolds into a huge breadth of ideas. In the work, intentionality is contained in the appropriate network of connections, which represents the West as thinking of explicit meanings and the East as thinking of implicit meanings. The point is to present to the reader not only ready-made statements, but the reader is invited by questions to cooperate in uncovering the unconcealed, i.e. aletheia. It is a hermeneutic method that starts from ready-made answers and only then comes to the questions that are at the same time the background from which the answer arose. It is a special dialogical method that does not want to juxtapose ready-made judgments, but requires the reader to go through this challenge as a co-solver of the question that is to come to the difference between the West and the...

East and West and Cognition

The work is a philosophical and necessarily also historical-philosophical comparative analysis of mutually corresponding accents of the issue spanning the period from the 8th century BC to the present, with regard to the "axial period" of cultural "miracle" similarly prosperous cultures and philosophies in the relatively severed countries of East and West. It then deals in more detail with some important and fundamental philosophers and spiritual teachers, related scholars or artists of various disciplines, but also lesser-known personalities, based on general inputs into the deepest depths of thought of these thinkers, all in a relatively intuitive connection, because the scope of work does not allow for a more detailed continuous interpretation of such a wide range of issues. In the end, the author emphasizes, philosophically analyzes and evaluates the most pressing issues of contemporary society. The work should primarily show the Way, not lead, but it is up to the reader / researcher to decide how to approach the text. There is always "some" Enlightenment at the end.

An analysis of expression- and content-oriented passages of the Torah: Texts of the Torah in the semiotic perspective of Charles S. Peirce, Yuri Lotman and Umberto Eco The aim of the presented thesis is to introduce the basic semiotic concepts of Charles Sanders Peirce, Yuri M. Lotman and Umberto Eco. These ideas should be beneficial for the interpretation of the Bible in the Czech republic and Slovakia: particularly in the Old Testament area. The thesis also proposes a new classification of the Torah's texts, and so identify, which functions could be subserved by the particular text. The theme of the Falsification in Umberto Eco's Novels: Foucautt's Pendulum, Baudolino and Prague Cemetery

This thesis studies forgery which appears in selected novels by Umberto Eco. They are Foucault's Pendulum, Baudolino and The Prague Cemetery. At the beginning theoretical basis of Eco's thoughts about the structure and character of forgery is described. Later different types of forgery are identified in the selected novels. The part about Foucault's Pendulum describes not only the forgery itself, The Plan, but also the theoretically-historical basis of the novel as well as conspiracy theories and the political and social situation in Italy in those days. The part about Baudolino describes the historical forgery - The Realm of Prester John and The Grail Legend, which we can find in fiction books these days. The last studied novel, Eco's latest, The Prague Cemetery involves antisemitism and concerns the creation of an irrational xenophobic document,which entered history under the name of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. The part of the thesis about thisnovel also concerns theoretical thoughts about a creation of an enemy, which Eco described in his book Inventing The Enemy. The conclusion of this thesis summarizes results of the search for the forgery in the selected novels and the way Eco uses historical forgeries in his fiction works.
